Getaway is the sweetboy smooth project of Christy O’Connor, Liam McCarthy and Joey Drake, all of Essex hardcore living legends Splitknuckle.

Fuzzbrain bossman Ben Spence on Getaway:

‘Christy sent me some demos of songs he’d been working on after we’d finished recording his vocals for his other band Stages In Faith‘s, Delside LP. I heard a raw version of ‘Spirit Of ’57‘ and was blown away. Obviously I knew Christy could sing off the back of the Stages LP but this shit was different. I asked for more music and then linked him and Liam up with Tolushorts who added his sauce to the version that’s out now. Getaway are also complete perfectionists so every single aspect of the music you hear has been endlessly tweaked and it’s always worth the wait.’
