Rates

We offer recording, mixing, mastering, rehearsals and backline hire.

There are a few options of rates for artists looking to record at Fuzzbrain.
All types of music are welcome along with all types of musicians, from beginners to artists working on their 10th album.

Dry Hire:
We welcome dry hires, where the artist brings their own engineer or engineers the session themselves. We will be on hand to help you set up before leaving you to it and returning at the end of the session.
This costs £200 per 8 hour day.

Recording with a junior engineer:
We can supply a junior engineer to run your session so you can focus completely on playing your songs. This is a great option for demos or longer sessions with a lower budget.
This costs £280 per 8 hour day.

Recording with Ben Spence:
You can of course record with our most experienced engineer, Ben Spence, who founded the studio and worked on a wide range of music over the last decade.
This costs £400 per 8 hour day.

We offer a remote mixing and mastering service, working with music recorded at the studio and elsewhere.

Mixing costs £50 per song and includes 3 rounds of revisions.
Mastering also costs £50 per song and includes 3 rounds of revisions.

Our upstairs live room also operates as a rehearsal space which we hire out at £15 per hour, including all studio equipment. It's a great opportunity for artists to spend some time in the studio before they decide to record with us. 

After working with a number of international artists along with our London based regulars we found there is a huge demand for reasonably priced backline hire for touring artists.
All of our equipment is available to hire at the following daily rates:

Guitars or basses at £30
Guitar or bass amp heads at £30
Guitar or bass cabs at £15
Guitar combo amps at £40
Drum kits (including stands) at £60
Drum breakables (including cymbals, snare and kick pedal) at £25
PA (including speakers, mixers and cables) at £100
Dynamic microphones at £10
Condenser microphones at £30
Ribbon microphones at £20

We offer discounted rates for hires that are 5 days or longer.
